Retailers share know-how on customer needs

Siam Piwat has joined forces with its retail partners across Asia to host the first “Global Privilege Partnership annual meeting” to share information on retail business development and create a common strategy to promote sustainable growth.

Siam Piwat is the owner and operator of well-known projects including Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery and Paradise Park and a co-owner of property development Iconsiam.
The meeting saw an exchange of knowledge with executives of leading retail enterprises from Hong Kong’s Times Square shopping centre, ION Orchard shopping centre in Singapore, Taipei 101 in Taiwan, and Parco department store in Japan. The executives discussed consumer behaviour and formulated a joint strategy for steady growth in retail.
Mayuree Chaipromprasith, senior executive vice president of Siam Piwat, said that amid the growth of tourism and perpetual changes in consumer behaviour, “we, as leading retail enterprises, are unable to stop development and wait for consumers to visit … we have to continue to develop our services and products”.
Noting that people could now travel easily from country to country, “collaboration with international business partners to learn about consumer behaviour and collaboration on regional retail promotion is an important strategy to drive business growth”.
Siam Piwat and its partners have joined forces to create “Global Privilege Partnership” campaign, giving privileges to 20 million customers worldwide.
