Land for new routes

The Cabinet yesterday approved the draft of six Land Expropriation announcements that will make available land for construction of new mass transit routes including pink line, yellow line, and orange line.
Transportation Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith said this will speed up the construction of the mass transit system including pink line Khae Rai to Minburi, yellow line from Lad Phrao to Samrong, and orange line from Thailand Culture Center to Minburi.
Cabinet has also approved the period for free bus and train, which will expire on September 30, 2017, to October 31, 2017. This will coincide with the government’s distribution of welfare to people in Bangkok and its surrounding areas.
