TISCO takes over retail banking from Standard
TISCO Group and Standard Chartered Bank (Thai) Pcl on Monday announced the successful completion of the transfer of Standard’s retail banking business.
With this business transfer, SCBT’s retail banking business, including personal loans, business loans, mortgage loans, wealth management, bancassurance, retail deposits and credit cards are now under TISCO’s management.
Suthas Ruangmanamongkol, TISCO Group said a project team from the two organisations had worked on the transfer for over 10 months to “ensure seamless service to clients after the business transfer.”
TISCO now has an open architecture platform to complement its expertise in wealth advisory services in a one-stop process, he added.
Plakorn Wanglee, president and CEO for Thailand and Representative Offices of Standard Chartered Bank, said the country remains a core part of the company’s regional strategy. The bank has operated in Thailand since 1894.
