NokScoot announces new CEO
NokScoot Airlines directors on October 24 approved the appointment of Yodchai Sudhidhanakul as chief executive, effective tomorrow (November 1).
Yodchai has been with Nok Air since its inception in 2004, most recently serving as chief commercial officer. His experience in the travel industry also included a stint in the online-booking business as Asia CEO of Flights.com.
“After a thorough and comprehensive search, the Nokscoot board is pleased to have found such an outstanding individual to assume leadership,” said chairman Chokchai Panyayong.
“Yodchai has proven track records in multiple areas of airline operations for 13 years and strong leadership credentials. We are confident of his ability to lead NokScoot successfully into the exciting growth phase in the coming years.”
Yodchai is a lawyer by training, with a diploma in jurist law from Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitat in Bonn, Germany.
He began his career in the early 1990s at Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit, an international consulting firm of the German government, rising to the rank of deputy director of its Thailand office.

Launched in 2014, NokScoot is a joint venture between Singapore budget airline Scoot and Thai airline Nok Air.
