Epson to lift global revenue by more than 50% by 2025

EPSON aims to boost its global revenue in 2025 by more than 50 per cent from the Bt330 billion it achieved in fiscal 2016.

With the company’s goal of Bt500 billion in 2025, it is looking ahead to net profit of more than Bt60 billion by that year.
Minoru Usui, president of Seiko Epson Corporation, said at Epson’s Singapore 35th anniversary on Tuesday that the Bt60 billion net profit goal would represent a 12 per cent of return on sales.
Usui said the key to company’s success was a reliance on innovation to develop products to sustainably expand the business.
 “In 2025, with our future vision, we aim to build on our foundations by connecting people, things and information with Epson technology. Our products are cover four areas of innovation: inkjet, visual, wearable and robotics,” Usui said.
In the inkjet area, the firm is supporting all market segments, with a strong focus on corporate and enterprise printers.
The firm has come out with a high-speed printer designed for enterprises, the WF-C20590. It delivers printing speeds of up to 100 pages per minutes (ppm) with lower printing costs and is environment friendly. 
The company has also expanded into digital textile printing. 
The firm plans to provide 3D printer and aims to release a model with printing speeds of up to 200 ppm.
For its visual communications strategy, the firm will offer signage with ultra-high brightness technologies and products with projecting mapping with laser light sources and other optical control technologies.
 The firm also provides smart eyewear or smart glasses that are lighter and bundled with artificial reality (AR) technology.
The firm has released two models of smart glasses to support business and industries. 
The new Moverio smart glasses are the BT-350 and BT-2200, which provide enhanced durability and flexibility.
The Moverio BT-350 is designed for a commercial environment suited for sharing with multiple users with he world's first multi-unit docking station for easy multi-fleet management such as for tourist attractions and museum. Meanwhile, the Moverio Pro BT-2200 smart headset is suited for industrial and other |enterprise AR applications such as remote |technical assistance and features a new |hinge specially designed to fit over front brim helmets.
With the wearable vision and strategy, the firm will provide wearable innovation products to support the market such as wearable devices that are bundled with ultra-sensing designed for sport and healthcare so that the smart devices will able to monitoring and check for healthcare conditions.
