The Thai government is seeking Japanese investors from prefectures with high potential to further invest in the country's targeted industries as well as lending support to local SMEs.
After discussions with a Japanese delegation led by Mie Prefecture's Governor Eikei Suzuki, Thai Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak said Mie was famous for its integrated tourism while the prefecture’s education and research institutes had planned for a presence in Thailand to enhance educational and SME cooperation between the two countries. Mie's business groups in this delegation included companies involved in electronics and parts, medical equipment, food and aerospace.
