Mega projects boost budget disbursement

State-enterprises’ disbursement of investment budget surged 47 per cent year-on-year to Bt21.11 billion in January due to acceleration of mega projects including Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA)’s MRT projects - Orange and Green Lines and Thai Airways International Plc’s aircraft procurement, said Ekniti Nitithanprapas, director-general of State Enterprise Policy Office (Sepo).
Chanvit Nakburee, Sepo deputy director-general and spokesman, said that accumulated disbursement of state enterprises’ investment budget from October 2017 to January of this year amounted to Bt39.13 billion or 89 per cent of the accumulative disbursement plan for the investment budget.
MRTA, Provincial Waterworks Authority, National Housing Authority, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, Provincial Electricity Authority and Thai Airways International disbursed their investment budget as targeted.
