Merck marks 350th anniversary
Merck is known for health care, life science and performance materials with offices in 66 countries, including Thailand.
The company’s more than 50,000 employees across the globe say they work to develop technologies that improve and enhance life – from biopharmaceutical therapies to treat cancer and heart disease to cutting-edge systems for scientific research and production, to liquid crystal displays for smartphones and self-driving vehicles as well as LCD televisions.
The company has a strong, energetic presence in Thailand that dates back to 1991, when Merck merged with B Grimm. Merck Thailand has since witnessed robust growth.
In 1668 it was founded in Darmstadt, Germany, by Friedrich Jacob Merck.
In the first quarter of 2018, Merck has witnessed sales growth of €3.7 billion. Health care and life sciences notched up strong growth of 3.5 per cent across the world.
To celebrate the company’s 350th anniversary, Merck Thailand is carrying out activities to promote its achievements.
