Exports fall 5.2% in September
Thai exports declined 5.2 per cent in September from the same month last year, falling in value to US$20.7 billion, the Commerce Ministry reported on Monday.
The exports were directed chiefly at Europe, the United States, Japan, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam.
The fall in exports followed a decline in the global economy and came amid the trade dispute between the US and China.
However, the ministry still expects export growth to total 8 per cent at the end of this year.
