Thailand’s exports to China were able to grow in some industries such as plastic, automotive spare parts and agricultural products despite the outbreak of Covid-19, Suphan Mongkolsuthree, chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), said.

He was speaking after a meeting with Li Zhigang, vice-chairman of the Chinese-Thai Enterprises Association, on March 2.
Zhigang said the virus crisis had expanded industries like technology, as 5G has become more crucial to the medical and educational fields.
He expressed his concern over the Covid-19 situation in Thailand because of the impact on tourism.
Suphan said that the collaboration of the Chinese-Thai Enterprises Association had positive effects on trading between China and Thailand and it had also increased opportunity in trading between the two countries as well as strengthened the relationship between the two governments.
