The service is available at the KBTG building in Chaeng Wattana and will also be offered at all Black Canyon outlets. The company plans to extend the service to other businesses in the future.
Ruangroj Poonpol, KBTG chairman, noted that the Covid-19 outbreak has affected people’s lifestyles, with more and more opting for digital services, as can be judged by the number of accounts registered on the KPlus mobile app.
KBTG offers six new contactless services, namely:
- Face check-in: Facial recognition technology which works even if the user is wearing a face mask. This technology also alerts users if they are not wearing a face mask.
- KLox: A locker service that allows users to open and close lockers via facial recognition technology. This service is now available at the K+ Building in Samyan.
- Eat by Black Canyon: A self-payment kiosk service that aims to foster the “new normal” in the café and restaurant industry. The self-payment kiosk also features a contactless menu, which requires only hand gestures for instructions.
- Contactless Menu: A table-based food ordering system that can detect hand gestures.
- Face Pay: This allows users to have their account debited just by having their face scanned. This service is fast and secure, needed just two simple steps.
- ReKeep: A new digital receipt system that can be received just by scanning a QR code. This service is not just contactless but also eco-friendly.
Ruangroj added that KBank was planning to expand its contactless technology and will soon make these new features available to the entertainment, fashion and health industries.
