YOTEL makes Thailand debut with 250-room Bangkok hotel at Cloud 11

YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit will open at Cloud 11 on October 15, targeting Asian travellers while tapping into the growth of Bangkok’s creative economy.

  • YOTEL will make its debut in Thailand with a 250-room hotel located within Bangkok's new Cloud 11 creative hub in South Sukhumvit.
  • Scheduled to open on October 15, 2026, the property will focus on technology, featuring self-service check-in, guest-service robots, and adjustable SmartBeds.
  • The hotel will be the brand's first in Asia to join the 'Select by Hilton' collection, giving guests access to the Hilton Honors loyalty programme.

Bangkok’s South Sukhumvit district is about to gain a new international hotel as YOTEL prepares to enter Thailand with a 250-room property built around technology, compact design and round-the-clock services.

YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit will welcome its first guests on October 15, 2026, becoming the London-founded brand’s 24th hotel worldwide and its fourth in Asia. It will also be the first YOTEL in Asia to join Select by Hilton.

The location marks another first: it will be the first hotel to open within Cloud 11, the THB20-billion mixed-use development designed as a hub for Bangkok’s growing community of creators and digital businesses.

A hotel inside Bangkok’s new creative hub

Cloud 11 brings together professional content production and music recording studios, galleries, event venues, cinemas and other spaces designed to encourage collaboration between creators, businesses, investors and consumers.

The development is intended to support industries spanning food, fashion, film, music, dance, art, sports and wellness, gaming, content creation and festivals, with green and open spaces incorporated into the project.

For YOTEL, the setting reflects its strategy of targeting travellers who combine work, leisure and digital connectivity.

Phil Andreopoulos, CEO of YOTEL, described Bangkok as both a major tourism destination and a business hub attracting entrepreneurs and digital nomads from around the world.

“Cloud 11 is at the heart of Thailand’s growing creative economy and a new investment landmark for the entire country. This makes it the perfect location for the city’s first YOTEL,” he said.

Technology takes centre stage

Technology is central to the hotel’s operating model. Self-service stations will allow guests to complete the check-in process in under a minute, while reception will remain staffed around the clock.

Rooms will feature YOTEL’s adjustable SmartBed™, which changes from a flat bed to a sofa at the touch of a button, alongside high-speed Wi-Fi, SmartTVs, mood lighting and mini coolers.

Bathrooms will include monsoon showers and Urban Jungle amenities, while guest-service robots will deliver items such as bottled water and fresh towels directly to rooms.

Mike Smith, General Manager of YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit, stressed that technology is intended to make the stay more convenient rather than replace human service, with staff interaction remaining an important part of the hotel experience.

From co-working to rooftop dining

Public spaces have been designed to serve both hotel guests and people working or spending time at Cloud 11.

KOMYUNITI will combine all-day dining with co-working space and will be directly accessible from the wider development. It will offer Thai and international food from breakfast through dinner, as well as two meeting rooms and a bar.

Grab + Go will provide drinks and snacks around the clock, while YOTEL Swim Club will include an outdoor swimming pool and pool bar. A 24-hour gym will also be available.

A second phase will follow in November with the opening of Fatty’s, the hotel’s rooftop restaurant and bar on the 23rd floor.

Smith described the venue as a Taiwanese soul-food concept with Japanese and Thai influences. YOTEL wants it to draw local residents as well as hotel guests, positioning it as a neighbourhood venue for drinks, dining and social occasions.

South Sukhumvit’s potential and connections

YOTEL offers a different proposition from hotels concentrated in central Sukhumvit or near Bangkok’s best-known tourist landmarks.

The company sees potential in the wider transformation of South Sukhumvit, supported by BTS Skytrain connectivity and developments including Cloud 11 and True Digital Park. The hotel will be linked directly to the BTS network by a 300-metre skywalk, providing convenient access to other parts of Bangkok.

Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) is 2.3 kilometres away, while the area also provides transport connections to Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang international airports.

Smith acknowledged that the company faces the dual task of introducing YOTEL to Thailand while promoting South Sukhumvit as a destination in its own right. The hotel plans to work closely with Cloud 11 on events and creative activities while encouraging guests to discover attractions and experiences in the surrounding neighbourhood.

Targeting a wider Asian market

Despite YOTEL’s technology-driven image, the Bangkok hotel is not being positioned solely for very young travellers.

Smith described the brand’s largest customer group as travellers broadly in their mid-30s to mid-40s, while noting demand among older travellers as well.

He expects early demand to come from travellers interested in trying something different, including those drawn to design, creativity and the arts. China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia are among the Asian markets being targeted, while Thailand and Myanmar have also emerged as notable sources of early bookings.

Hilton partnership supports expansion

YOTEL was founded in London in 2007 and entered into an exclusive franchise agreement with Hilton in March 2026, becoming the first brand under the newly established Select by Hilton.

Under the arrangement, YOTEL retains its own identity and brand management while participating hotels gain access to Hilton’s distribution and technology platforms.

Hilton Honors members staying at YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit will be able to earn and redeem points and receive benefits according to their membership tier.

The Bangkok opening forms part of a wider expansion under which YOTEL aims to grow its global portfolio to around 100 properties by 2030.

Its existing Asian properties include hotels in Tokyo, Singapore Orchard Road and Singapore Changi Airport, while Kuala Lumpur is also part of the expansion pipeline.

Rooms at YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit start from THB1,800 per night for stays from October 15, with a limited-time promotion offering 20% off stays.
