Honda in quest for young inventors to join the "18th Honda Super Idea Contest 2022"
Youngsters are invited to submit ideas for creative inventions that benefit society with entries accepted from July 30 to September 30, 2022
When it comes to a project or activity that promotes and encourages creativity and imagination in youth and is considered an inspiring way for young people to pursue their dreams, it must be the "Honda Super Idea Contest."
Honda Automobile (Thailand) Company Limited has continually held this contest for the past 17 years, during which over 430,000 students across the country in grades 1 to 6 submitted creative ideas based on their dreams and imaginations, designing future inventions that are fun, creative, and benefit society.
This year, Honda is holding the contest for the 18th time under the theme "Creating Ideas, Making a Melody of Dreams, Promoting Imagination in Thai Kids to Go Places Worldwide."

To encourage children's dreams, creativity, and imagination, Honda has held the 'Honda Super Idea Contest' for eighteen consecutive years with an aim to search for young inventors, as we believe in encouraging and supporting children to unlock their infinite creative energy and strive to grow to become a major force in the future. Last year, the contest was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic so Honda could continue to unleash children's imaginations. We received around 5,723 entries for the contest, which is a positive response. This year's winners will receive a royal plaque from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn along with scholarships and the opportunity to go on a field trip to Japan in a cultural exchange to master new skills."
This year, the Honda Super Idea Contest 2022 is divided into four rounds:
Round 1: Draw a picture of your idea for an invention based on imagination onto an imaginary paper that can be downloaded at www.facebook.com/hondasuperidea or from Line: @superidea. The deadline for submission is September 3, 2022. Eighty works will be selected and announced to go to round two on October 31, 2022.
Round 2: Present your work from the imaginary paper in the form of a 3-to-5-minute video clip. You can submit this clip by November 11, 2022, with fifteen entries selected for the final round. The results will be announced on November 18, 2022.
Round 3: The Super Idea Super Camp activity that takes place on November 26 & 27, 2022 provides opportunities for children to develop their creative skills and learn about the principles of science and art from expert speakers. It provides a foundation for the 15 finalists to build a model of their selected ideas, which will be initially funded for presentation in the final round.
Round 4: The final round of the Honda Super Idea Contest 2022 Kids Krahuem Lok project takes place on December 17, 2022. All fifteen finalists are required to make a 3-to-5-minute presentation of their idea together with a mock-up of the prototype. They must then answer questions about their idea in front of a panel of three qualified members. The winners will be selected, with the first-place winner receiving a royal plaque from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn plus a 10,000-baht scholarship, while the five runners-up will each receive a plaque. All top six entrants who receive the awards will have a chance to go on a field trip to Japan.*
There is also an "Inspiring Teachers to Support Kids' Ideas" workshop that aims to generate creative ideas to inspire teachers to help motivate their students to develop their own creative ideas and efficiently create inventive works based on their imaginations. Two teachers of the students who submit their ideas and become finalists in the contest will be selected to receive "Best Inspiring Teacher" awards. These two teachers will also have the opportunity to join the field trip to Japan with the students who won the contest.

The "Honda Super Idea Content" project was first held in Thailand in 2005. It originated from the Honda Kids Idea Contest project by Honda Motor Company Limited, Japan, with the aim to cultivate young people to know how to master their creativities and imaginations, dare to challenge themselves, dare to dream and dare to make dreams come true.
Through the project, it offers elementary school students across the country to submit their ideas for future inventions that are fun, creative, and beneficial to society and a chance to win the royal plaque of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and an award for a field trip to Japan. At present, Honda has continually carried out the project for the eighteenth consecutive year.
