MPs seek probe on Suthep talks

Deputy Pheu Thai Party spokesman Jirayu Huangsap said party MPs would meet tomorrow to gather signatures on a formal request that the government investigate reported "secret talks" between former deputy prime minister Suthep Thaugsuban, now an opposition

He said the request followed a Senate investigation into the issue.

The talks may have violated Article 190 of the Constitution, which lays out the requirements for international agreements entered into by the government, he claimed.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen earlier alleged that former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva dispatched Suthep Thaugsuban to make a behind-the-scenes deal on maritime resources.
