Police chief now head of security

The Cabinet yesterday approved moving national police chief General Wichean Potephosree to the post of secretary-general of the National Security Council among other transfers, deputy government spokesman Anusorn Iamsa-ard said.
Thirapong Sodasri has been moved up from the position of deputy to become director-general of the Public Relations Department, while Sukit Charoenrattanakul has been shifted from his post as inspector general of the Interior Ministry to director-general of the Local Administration Department at the ministry.
Chaiyaphruek Serirak has moved up to secretary-general of the Vocational Education Commission from deputy secretary-general of the Basic Education Commission.
