Flood damages ancient Khmer temple

Flood caused by torrential rain has hit a 1000 year-old ancient Khmer temple in the northeastern province of Sakhon Nakhon.

Ku-Pan-Na temple, which used to provide treatment 1,000 years ago, was submerged by flood over a month.
The authority has insisted that the temple will not be collapsed by flood as the temple had been reconstructed and strengthened the basement.
Flood also had severely affected other areas in the province. Floodwater from Phu Phan mountain had flown and inundated over 3,000 rai of agriculture areas at Sawang Din Dang district.
