Administrative Court to review PTT privatisation

The Central Administrative court has ruled to launch a judicial review into the privatisation of PTT, transforming the petroleum conglomerate for a state enterprise to a listed company in 2001.

As complainant, the People’s Alliance for Democracy filed the administrative suit on September 22 asking for the restoration of PTT as state enterprise by invalidating the initial public offering of shares.
The PAD also requested the court to summon evidence related to the IPO.
The court agreed on October 7 to review the case but turned down the issuing of summons on evidence at this juncture, PAD lawyer Suwat Apaisak said on Friday.
