Forum to spotlight region's education

An educational event this week will help teachers, educators and interested people from around the region to see what's available in educational material and technologies.

From Wednesday to Friday, Worlddidac Asia 2011, the 4th International Exhibition for Educational Materials and Professional Training, will showcase 120 leading brand items from 25 countries with 12,000 educators, purchasing executives and academics from across Asean.
More than 1,000 items of the most innovative educational media and technology will be on show at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
Also in the show will be an international discussion on education in Asia: “Asia Education Leaders Forum”, a highlevel conference for executives to learn new policies, directions and trends from a prestigious panel of world speakers.
Top management from educational institutes across Asia will gather at this highprofile forum to learn from indepth knowledge, experience and the visions of a panel of worldclass speakers. Organisers say this is a rare chance for education leaders to meet international authorities from the public sector as well as education experts and academics from around the world and extend networks and cooperation.
The forum will discuss directions of education, challenges, opportunities, global partnership, evaluation and assessment, educational technologies and other issues critical for professionals to adopt for the sustainable improvement of their organisations, heading towards a creative economy and the upcoming Asean Economic Community.
