Ombudsman demands PM to explain Four Seasons meeting

The Office of Ombudsman has launched an inquiry into the ethical conduct of the prime minister and set a 30-day deadline for Yingluck Shinawatra to submit her defence.

“PM Yingluck will have to explain her private meeting held on February 8 at Four Seasons Hotel,” chief ombudsman Panit Nitithanprapas said Tuesday.
Panit said the inquiry was based on a complaint lodged by the advocacy group, Green Politics.
Yingluck will be checked on the compliance on two ethical codes, one for political office holders and another for MPs.
The inquiry will review Yingluck’s statement before deciding a next move.
