Cabinet reshuffle likely in May

A Cabinet reshuffle is expected in May in order to make room for party executives who've completed their five-year ban on holding office, Culture Minister Sukumol Kunplome said yesterday.

“I believe my husband Sonthaya will return to work full time after his ban expires,” she said.
Sukumol said Sonthaya was keeping himself active by serving as her adviser.
She said the ruling Pheu Thai and her Palang Chon party would soon renegotiate the allocation of Cabinet seats in order to accommodate Sonthaya.
Sonthaya used to hold the tourism and sports portfolio, which is presently allocated to the Chart Thai Pattana Party, Sukumol said, hinting at the negotiations to reallocate the coalition quotas.
