Wall St ends up sharply

U.S. stocks closed up sharply overnight on news of improved U.S. economy and recovering banking sector.
Dow Jones Industrials closed above 13,000, while the Nasdaq finished above 3,000 - the first time in 12 years.
Dow gained 1.68 per cent, Nasdaq up 1.88 per cent, while S&P 500 added 1.81 per cent.
Meanwhile, European shares closed at the highest level in nearly eight months, while 
Asian stocks also closed up on signs of improvement in the US economy.
