Cabinet approve 5-year pollution management plan

The Cabinet Tuesday approved the five-year pollution management plan that was going to put into use the polluters-pay concept.
“The management plan is for the implementation between this year and 2016,” Anusorn Iamsa-ard said in his capacity as the acting government spokesman.
He added this plan would provide the framework via which all relevant authorities would develop their work plans.
The Natural Resources and Environment Ministry has proposed the pollution-management plan with aim to efficiently tackle pollution and promote the participation by all parties in the pollution management.
