Govt goes ahead with KPI report debate

The government Wednesday ignored a caution by the King Prajadhipok's Institute (KPI) and went ahead with the Lower House debate on reconciliation measures proposed by the House committee on national reconciliation.

Government and opposition MPs voiced support to their conflicting stances, with Pheu Thai MPs asking the House to go ahead with the debate .
Opposition Democrat MPs, including opposition and party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva, took the floor asking for postponement of the debate to no avail.
