South Korean airliner makes emergency landing in Canada

Vancouver, Canada - A South Korean passenger plane made anemergency landing at a military airbase in Canada accompanied by twoUS warplanes because of a bomb alert, media reports said.
The plane returned to Canada on Tuesday after a bomb threat wasmade to the Los Angeles office of Korean Air Lines Co Ltd, CBC Newssaid citing an airline spokesman.
The Royal Canadian Air Force confirmed the emergency landing.
The Boeing 777 with 149 people on board was heading to Seoul butturned back around three hours after take-off from Vancouver, aspokesman for the Comox airbase told The Globe and Mail newspaper. Hegave no details of the emergency.//DPA
