Pacific tsunami warning lifted

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre lifted its tsunami warning for all countries around the Indian Ocean Wednesday.
The 8.7-magnitude earthquake had generated a "significant" tsunami, the Hawaii-based organization said in a bulletin, adding, "sea level readings now indicate that the threat has diminished or is over for most areas."//DPA
