Police to investigate advertising billboard accident

Police said they will summon for questioning the owners of a company hired to install the billboard on Baiyoke Tower II in which a cradle hoisting five men suddenly split, sending three men to their deaths.

The questioning will be aimed at finding the causes of the accident and holding those responsible for the deaths and injured.
Police have talked to two others workers who survived by hanging on to the sides of the platform on the 68 floor of the building.
The three men killed were found separately on the terraces of the 18th, 20th and 36th floors
A survivor, Plernjit Kong-udom, said he was dangling three for more than 10 minutes before someone broke the window to pull him in.
He said none of the workers was wearing a harness in place and had failed to check the condition of the stainless steel cradle before they started working. He did notice a crack when he got in.
