“At the event, PAD leader Sondhi Limthongkul will be the sole speaker on the reforms needed to clean up Thai politics,” he said.
Panthep said Sondhi’s talk would be the highlight while the music, aimed to entertain the participants, would involve PAD’s speakers and academics, who would sing instead of giving speeches.
The event will start at noon and end around 8pm.
The PAD has been campaigning against the on-going charter amendments as it fears that the Pheu Thai-led coalition would push for the enactment of a new charter to whitewash all wrongdoings of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
But earlier demonstrations of the PAD failed to draw many people to join its cause. Political observers believe the poor performance and plunging popularity of the PAD has prompted the Pheu Thai to be confident about its campaign to enact a new charter.
