Many brilliant minds have joined the teaching staff for the new courses. Among them are Torboon Puangmaha, the former CEO of widely popular www.sanook.com, Dr Atip Asvanund, who has provided strategic planning for TRUE Corporation, NetDesign owner Chalermrat Nakwichien, and Pawut Pongwittayapanu from www.tarad.com. Lecturers from prestigious institutes like Chulalongkorn and Thammasat universities, such as Assoc Prof Dr Pasu Decharin and Assoc Prof Dr Ekachidd Chungcharoen, will also contribute.
“We have recognised the importance of business-administration studies,” Nation University vice president Udom Phaikaset said earlier this week. The courses will be available from the 2012 academic year onward, alongside classes conducted at its Faculty of Mass Communication, which has operated with a high level of quality thanks in part to support from Nation Multimedia Group’s professional staff.
Udom said that via the teaching, grooming and learning at Nation University, students’ identities would be defined by the terms “professional”, “English” and “communication”.
“At least 20 per cent of the content in each subject will be in English,” he said. Nation University conducts classes both at its campus in Lampang and its learning centre in Bangkok.
Udom was confident that the BBA courses at Nation University would equip its undergraduate students with knowledge and practical skills. “During their study, they will get rich opportunities in serving as trainees at various organisations. We have an option that will let students work full time for one full semester too,” he added.
Interested students can contact Nation University, which is now accepting applications, at 02-338-3777 between 9am and 5pm. They can also seek further information at www.nation.ac.th.
