Four companies of police to keep security at PAD rally

The Metropolitan Police Bureau will deploy four companies of policemen to keep security when the People's Alliance for Democracy stages a rally outside Parliament on Wednesday.

Metropolitan Police deputy commissioner Pol Maj Gen Methi Kusolsrang said he had been informed by the PAD that its demonstrators would start gathering at the Royal Plaza at 9 am before marching to Parliament.
The PAD would protest against a reconciliation bill, which is seen as an effort to whitewash wrongdoings of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
