Wall St ends up

US shares rallied over 1 per cent across the board to close near session highs amid renewed fears over Spainish banks woes.

Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 125.86 points, or 1.01 per cent to end at 12,580.69.

S&P 500 gained 14.60 points, or 1.11 per cent at 1,332.42. Most key sectors were in positive territory, led by materials, while techs dragged.
The Nasdaq rallied 33.46 points, or 1.18 per cent, to close at 2,870.99.
