The theme of this year's event is “Asean Community 2015: Opportunities and Challenges to Health”.
About 200 health experts and highlevel officials from Asean nations will brainstorm and seek a resolution on health issues and the reduction of negative impacts. They will also seek cooperation from China, Japan and South Korea.
On the agenda are the top health issues, including noncommunicable diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer and heart disease, cutting down on smoking, health insurance, Aids prevention in urban areas, and emergency preparedness.
