Democrats to hold 10 public meetings

The Democrat Party will this month organise public dialogues at 10 different venues to clarify issues related to reconciliation and charter change, party spokesman Chavanond Intarakomalyasut said on Tuesday.

The designated venues for dialogue are in Saraburi, Songkhla, Chiang Mai, Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, Phuket as well as two provinces in the Northeast and Bangkok.
Democrat leaders will fan out to talk directly to the people in order to explain contentious issues as well as solicit public opinion on government projects, such as the pledging scheme to shore up paddy price.
In a related development, the Pheu Thai Party will this week organise some 30 rallies in Bangkok and key provinces in the North and Northeast.
The rallies will set out to sway sentiment and coincide with the judicial inquiry on charter change, scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
