Supreme Court accepts Krung Thai bank case against Thaksin

Supreme Court Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions Wednesday accepted a state bank loan case involving ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and 26 others for alleged malfeasance.

Thaksin and 26 accomplices were accused of collaborating with stateowned Krung Thai Bank's executives to approve a Bt9.9 billion loan to Krisdamahanakorn Plc, a major real estate company, and its subsidiaries, despite their businesses being categorised as nonperforming debtors by the bank.
The court's first hearing is scheduled for Oct 11 at 9.30am.
