Ubon Ratchathani International Airport was closed for hours yesterday after the Agriculture Ministry's rainmaking aircraft skidded off a runway made slippery after days of heavy downpours.
The CASA 212 aircraft was returning from a rainmaking operation in five Northeast provinces when it slid off the runway while landing. As fire crews and rescue workers checked the incident, in which no one was hurt, the airport was closed.
