Course offers experience, profit

It provides young Thai investors with first-hand experience to ensure they gain enough knowledge and understanding to step into the stock market. 

Applications can be made countrywide from today to September 30. All participants need to offer are their “heads” and “hearts”. Neither experience nor a stock account is required. 

The project is the first in Thailand that offers intensive training programmes and will expand its territory across the country in its third year. It will be based in five provinces to serve the demand for investment know-how so investors can enter the stock market with confidence. This intensive two-month investment course is instructed by Kavee Chukitkasem, assistant managing director, research department of Kasikorn Securities.

Two-hundred chosen investors will receive Bt50,000 to start their investment in the stock market. Three investors who earn the highest profits will win cash in an amount equal to the profits they have earned from their portfolio. The profits, together with dividend, will be calculated by the Call Market method, and the Bt50,000 given at the start will be deducted. The profit earned by other investors in the project will be donated to charity.
