Two Chaiyaphum women had filed a police complaint against Rungthiwa and three foreigners for allegedly luring them into prostitution in Brunei. The suspect took the women to that country on March 6 on the promise of jobs as sales clerks at a clothes shop, they said.
However, the women were forced into the sex trade from March 8-21 before they fled and asked for help from Thai workers, police say.
Rungthiwa denied doing anything wrong, saying he only accompanied the two women to Brunei as he also needed to visit his son there.
