U.S. stocks reversed early losses to close near session highs overnight following encouraging comments from President Obama and on fiscal cliff issue. 
	Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 106.98 points, or 0.83 per cent to 12,985.11. 
	S&amp;P 500 advanced 10.99 points, or 0.79 percent, to finish at 1,409.93. 
	All key S&amp;P sectors ended up, led by consumer discretionary and energy shares. 
	Nasdaq composite gained 23.99 points, or 0.81 per cent at 2,991.78.
