Hotel conference to be held next month

Skyrocketing tourist arrivals and the government's plan to invest billions of baht in tourism infrastructure are behind the decision to hold one of the region's leading hotel investment conferences in Bangkok for the first time.
The fifth Asia-Pacific Hotel Investment Conference, an International Hotel Investment Forum summit organised by global Questex Hospitality Group, will be held from May 15-16 at the Dusit Thani Hotel.
One of the founding fathers of Thailand’s luxury hospitality industry, Chanin Donavanik, managing director and CEO of Dusit International, heads up a cast of speakers drawn from the region’s hospitality heavy hitters.
The list also features Thailand hotel pioneers including Ashwani “Sunny” Bajaj, managing director of Amburaya Hotels and Resorts; Kevin Beauvais, co-founder and CEO of Zinc | InVision Hospitality; Bernhard Bohnenberger, president of Six Senses Hotels; Wayne Buckingham, senior executive vice president of TCC Hotels Group; Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi, vice president of Sukosol Hotels; Deepak Ohri, CEO of Lebua Hotels and Resorts; and Anchalika Kijkanakorn, founder and managing director of Akaryn Hospitality Management Services, who was recently elected the first female chairman of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
