Swiss swimmer drowns in Pattaya
The body of Swiss expat Hans-Peter Hermann Sata-minger, 66, was found on the North Pattaya beach at 3am yesterday, police said.
Police said Satammin-ger’s Thai wife, Mala Phudejduan, 35, filed a report at the Pattaya police station on Sunday night that her husband had been washed away by a big wave at 6pm while swimming.
Rescuers looked for him for hours but called off the search after heavy rain.
The couple wed five years ago and Satamminger was scheduled to fly home on April 19.
