Wall St ends up

U.S. stocks closed up, reversing their earlier declines,as strong gains in materials and energy offset weak housing data.
Dow Jones Industrial Average managed slight gain of 19.66 points to close at 14,567.17.
S&P 500 gained 7.25 points, or 0.47 per cent to close at 1,562.50.
Most key S&P sectors closed in positive territory, led by energy and materials
Nasdaq added 27.50 points to end at 3,233.55.
