Civic groups target Energy Ministry

In the request, they said that the ministry exaggerated on information, which might be in violation of the Constitution's Section 279. One of the exaggerated information involved the petroleum reserves as well as energy imports. The civic groups viewed that the ministry failed to elaborate on the reserves. On the energy import, they questioned why Thailand had to export half of the imported energy. 

"The civic groups press for this investigation, to control the Energy Ministry's dissemmination of incomplete information which causes public panic and may lead to policy conflicts," they said.
