Dow ends above 15,000 for the first time

U.S.stocks closed near their best levels overnight, with the S&P 500 extending its recent rally to a new high, while Dow Jones ended above 15,000 for the first time.
Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied 87.31 points to close  at 15,056.20.

S&P 500 climbed 8.46 points, to close at 1,625.96, entering bull market territory.Most key S&P sectors finished higher, led by telecoms and industrials, while technology shares closed lower.

Nasdaq composite gained 3.66 points to close at 3,396.63.

The Dow and S&P 500 both gained over 14 per cent, while Nasdaq composite surged more than 12 per cent so far this year.
