Thai composite stocks index (SET) closed on Tuesday up&nbsp;26.47 points, or 1.66 per cent&nbsp;amid Bt51.25 billion turnover on speculation that the Monetary Policy Committee may cut its policy interest rate tomorrow to curb the strong baht.

	Blue chip SET-50 index was at 1,072.57, up 19.07 points, or 1.81 per cent.
