The white-mask protesters gathered at the Chamai Maruchet Bridge on Phisanulok Road at 11 am.
Their presence prompted the Metropolitan Police to dispatch a company of crowd-control officers to guard and close the gate near the bridge. Two mobile-prison trucks were also sent to the scene. Several plainclothes police offices were also deployed to monitor the situation.
The demonstrators carried cloth banners, with messages attacking the government. One of banners reads “Thaksin, take PM Poo [Yingluck] back and return Thailand to us”.
They also carried pictures of Plodprasop with messages attacking him.
