Decision on Sudarat deferred
The National Anti-Corruption Commission has postponed its decision on alleged corruption allegations against former public health minister Sudarat Keyuraphan to Tuesday.
NACC commissioner and spokesman Klanarong Chanthik said the decision was delayed because Sudarat had submitted new evidence. She was held responsible for alleged irregularities in the procurement of computers worth Bt821 million.
Klanarong said an NACC subcommittee investigated the case and recommended that the commission pursue charges against some senior officials. He explained that the investigation had taken several years because the NACC needed to consider all the evidence available.
