Wall St ends up on tech shares

U.S. stocks closed slightly up as investors shunned turmoil in Egypt and political uncertainty in Portugal ahead of U.S. jobs data report due Friday.
Dow Jones Industrial Average ended up on gains in Boeing and Cisco shares.

S&P 500 and the Nasdaq composite index closed higher.
Among S&P sectors, telecom, technology and consumer discretionary gained, while financials shares fell.
