Baht end at $/31.28
The Thai baht ended Tuesday at 31.28-30 per US dollar. Movement tomorrow depends on the Monetary Policy Committee's meeting.
The currency opened at 31.43-45. During the day, it moved in the range of 31.24 and 31.45.
A treasurer at Bank of Ayudhya said that the baht strengthened on profit-taking. He expected the baht to move between 31.20-45 per dollar. The factor to watch is the MPC meeting.
The MPC is widely expected to maintain the policy rate at 2.50 per cent, as foreign capital is flowing out of the country.
