Thousands of followers were disappointed yesterday when the former Japanese preaching monk Mitsuo Gavesako did not turn up at Sunanthawanaram Temple in Kanchanaburi.
Phra Ajahn Noo-phrom Suchatho, the temple’s deputy abbot, said it was just a rumour that Mitsuo and his wife would visit. He also denied giving details about Mitsuo’s relationship and two Japanese monks at the temple.
“I didn’t know that one of them was Mitsuo’s younger brother. I suggest you to ask Mitsuo yourself and you’ll get the answer that you want,” he told a reporter.
