Arson attacks in the south held to discredit govt : govt deputy spokesman

Pheu Thai Party deputy spokesman Anusorn Eiamsa-ard said the arson attacks in the deep south provinces were aimed at discrediting the Thai government, and destroying the region's economy, as well as discrediting the BRN for being unable to control the insurgents.
He said the party condemned such attacks and is now investigating who are responsible for the incidents.
The spokesman also urged political groups not to politicise the issue, but should cooperate with the government to restore peace in the region.
Anusorn reaffirmed the government will continue peace dialogue with the BRN despite the continuing attacks, saying that there should be clearer progress within this month.
