National Security Council chief Lt Gen Paradorn Pattanathbutr said the violence continued during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan although the BRN promised during the talk to reduce the attacks.
He already assigned the Southern Border Provinces Administration Centre (SBPAC) to collect information on the attacks in the region before formally seeking clarification from the Malaysian government, a facilitator of the dialogue between the Thai government and the BRN.
He was referring to series of arsons at rubber factories and other businesses in Yala, Pattani and Songkhla early Friday morning.
